Job summary

Larian Studios in Ireland is looking for a Language Manager (Korean) to lead the quality of translations across in-game text, voice scripts, and marketing content from development through launch and beyond. This is a 2-year fixed term contract.

You will own translation memories, glossaries and style guides, provide cultural input, test translations in context, and collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to resolve terminology and workflow questions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience localizing video games.
• Strong writing and editing skills in Korean.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience localizing time-delimited dialogues.
• Experience with CAT tools (memoQ a plus).
• At least one AAA game shipped.
• Experience with voice acting casting.
• Experience with Confluence and JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality of the Korean translations for in-game text, voice scripts, and marketing content.
• Translate content required to support products through development, launch and beyond.
• Create and maintain translation memories, glossaries, and style guides.
• Provide cultural and creative input for localization to the target region.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and communicate to stakeholders.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders to resolve terminology and workflow questions.
• Playtests to confirm in-game text context for accurate translation.
• Collaborate with external localization vendors to improve language quality.
