Job summary

Connemara Coast Hotel in Galway is seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team reporting to the Executive Head Chef. You will help maintain hygiene and cleanliness in a busy kitchen, using the industrial dishwasher, lifting loads, and keeping fridges and benches spotless.

The role requires a willingness to work midweek evenings or nights and prior experience in a large kitchen is a bonus. We value reliability, enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a large kitchen is a bonus.
• Previous experience working in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work efficiently during busy periods.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Use an industrial dishwasher to clean restaurant crockery and cutlery.
• Lifting and carrying loads as required.
• Clean cooking equipment & utensils.
• Clean inside of walk-in fridges.
• Clean walls and benches in the kitchen.
• Maintain a clean environment in the kitchen.
• Empty bins and be available for late night shifts.
