Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel is seeking an experienced Kitchen Porter to join our dedicated team in Ireland. You will help maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, support chefs during service, and conduct deep cleans according to the cleaning schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within a catering or busy kitchen environment.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must have a valid work permit to work in Ireland.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to take initiative.
• Personable demeanour and professional presentation.
• Experience with cleaning systems and maintaining hygiene standards.
• Ability to adapt to new environments, prioritise tasks, and work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, ensuring floors are free from debris and spillages at all times.
• Follow direction from chefs as required, providing support during service.
• Conduct deep cleans of the kitchen according to the established cleaning schedule.
• Operate the dishwashing machine, ensuring a steady supply of clean crockery, cutlery, and kitchenware.
• Handle heavy-duty pot wash and assist with putting away deliveries and properly storing stock.
• Manage food waste, regularly changing bins, and ensuring kitchen equipment is in working order.
• Adhere to all food hygiene and health and safety regulations at all times.
