Job summary

The Wyatt Hotel in Westport is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support a busy hotel kitchen. You will help with washing dishes, keeping surfaces and floors clean, and assist with deliveries and basic food prep under the Head Chef.

No prior kitchen experience is required; training is provided. Candidates should be dependable, punctual and able to work as part of a team across mornings, evenings and weekends.

*Kitchen Porter - The Wyatt Hotel*

Main duties:

• Washing dishes, cookware and kitchen equipment
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen
• Cleaning floors, work surfaces, storage areas and waste stations
• Removing waste safely and following recycling procedures
• Assisting with deliveries and storing supplies correctly
• Supporting chefs with basic food preparation when required
• Following all food safety, hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Completing other reasonable duties as directed by the Head Chef

The ideal candidate will be dependable, punctual and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. They should work well as part of a team, follow instructions and take pride in keeping the kitchen clean, safe and organised. Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential, as training will be provided. Candidates must be available for a range of shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends.
