Job summary

Castleknock Hotel in Dublin 15 seeks a warm, energetic Kitchen Porter to join our busy kitchen team. You will work alongside the Chef team in a fast-paced environment, assisting with food prep, dishwashing, and keeping areas clean and organized.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a busy kitchen, HACCP knowledge, excellent communication, and flexibility to work weekends and early or late shifts.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Excellent HACCP knowledge and food safety practices.
• Able to work under pressure and in a team.
• Strong attention to detail and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Chef team in a busy kitchen and maintain cleanliness and organisation.
• Assist with basic food preparation and dishwashing tasks.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and HACCP procedures.
• Be flexible with shifts and assist across areas as required.

This role will include very early starts or late finishes, it is desirable for applicants to have their own transport as the shifts do not align with public transport access times.

What the role is:

As Kitchen porter you will:

• Have at least 2 years of experience working in a fast paced environment with a high volume covers
• Engage well within the team to provide support to the Chef team
• Have excellent HACCP knowledge
• Have the ability to adapt to change
• Work well under pressure in each area of the Kitchen when required
• Be organised and have the ability to prioritise tasks where required
• Be committed to the team and supporting your colleagues
• Be flexible with working hours (must be available for weekends and early/late shifts
