Job summary

Trim Castle Hotel in Ireland is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support our busy kitchen. You will handle dishwashing, cleaning, basic food preparation, inventory, waste management and equipment upkeep to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and efficiency across the kitchen.

The role requires reliability, a positive attitude and teamwork. Candidates must be available to work 3-5 days per week including bank holidays and have permission to work in Ireland.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work any 3-5 days over a 7 day working week including bank holidays
• Permission to work in Ireland
• Experience in a similar role is desirable, not essential

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing: Washing and sanitising all kitchenware
• Cleaning: Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, equipment, and food preparation areas
• Food Preparation: Assisting with basic food preparation tasks like peeling, chopping, and washing vegetables
• Inventory Management: Helping with the receiving and storage of food and kitchen supplies, and keeping storage areas organised
• Waste Management: Emptying bins and ensuring proper disposal of kitchen waste
• Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment like ovens, grills, and sinks
