Job summary

Aramark Ireland in Dublin is seeking a Kitchen Porter to support our catering team. You will help with cleaning, dishwashing, basic food preparation, and maintaining hygiene in fast-paced service areas.

This role offers full training, Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend work, and opportunities for development within the catering team. You will work independently and with the team, upholding HACCP and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen porter or catering is desirable but not essential.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and well organised.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Wash and sanitise dishes, pots, pans, and equipment.
• Ensure work surfaces, floors, and storage areas are clean and tidy.
• Dispose of waste in line with procedures.
• Follow HACCP and health & safety regulations.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation.
• Receive and store deliveries with stock rotation.
• Set up/clear catering areas for meetings and events.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report shortages.
• Support the team with general kitchen duties during busy periods.

Kitchen Cleaning & Hygiene

• Maintain cleanliness throughout all kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Wash and sanitise dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and catering equipment.
• Ensure all work surfaces, floors, and storage areas are kept clean and tidy.
• Dispose of waste and recycling in line with company procedures.
• Follow all food safety and health & safety regulations.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation as required.
• Receive and store deliveries correctly following stock rotation procedures.
• Help set up and clear down catering areas for meetings, events, and hospitality functions.
