Job summary

Nove is looking for a reliable, hard-working Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team in Malahide. You'll support the chefs, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure service runs smoothly.

Experience is an advantage but not essential. You should work well under pressure, be a strong team player, and be willing to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays. We offer a competitive hourly rate, staff meals, and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience an advantage.
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Washing pots, pans, utensils and crockery during and after service.
• Keeping kitchen surfaces, floors and equipment clean and sanitised.
• Assisting chefs with basic food prep as needed.
• Receiving and storing deliveries with stock rotation.
• Managing waste and recycling per kitchen procedures.
• Maintaining cleanliness in line with HACCP and food safety standards.
• Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Reporting equipment issues or maintenance needs to the Head Chef.

About the Role

Nove is looking for a reliable, hard-working Kitchen Porter to join our kitchen team. You'll play a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly - supporting the chefs, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring service flows without a hitch.

Key Responsibilities

• Washing pots, pans, utensils, and crockery efficiently during and after service
• Keeping kitchen surfaces, floors, and equipment clean and sanitised
• Assisting chefs with basic food prep (peeling, chopping, portioning) as needed
• Receiving and storing deliveries correctly (stock rotation, cold storage, dry goods)
• Managing waste and recycling in line with kitchen procedures
• Maintaining cleanliness in line with HACCP and food safety standards
• Supporting the wider kitchen team during busy service periods
• Reporting any equipment issues or maintenance needs to the Head Chef

Requirements

• Previous kitchen or hospitality experience an advantage but not essential
