Silver Stream Healthcare Group in Ireland is seeking a Relief Kitchen Assistant to prepare meals for residents and uphold high hygiene standards in our home kitchens.

• Assist the cook in meal preparation and cooking of wholesome meals and home baking.
• Support the cook/chef with required documentation.
• Maintain high kitchen hygiene and safe food storage per standards.
• Carry out cleaning duties for equipment, appliances, crockery, windows, etc.

Job Purpose:

To prepare menus and meals on a day-to-day basis for the residents of the Home. To ensure that a high standard of hygiene is achieved and maintained in the kitchen. To ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained in good order and stored properly. Advise on kitchen supplies and stock levels.

About the role

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Washing all cookware, utensils, cutlery etc. in a timely manner and ensuring that all items are cleaned and ready.

• Assist in the preparation and service of all meals and beverages for residents in adherence to standards of hygiene.

• Assist and support the Cook in the preparation and cooking of excellent quality and wholesome meals and home baking.

• Support and assist the Cook/ Chef with all documentation when required.

• Maintain a high standard of hygiene throughout the kitchen and ensure safe storage of foods in accordance with legislative standards.

• Carry out assigned cleaning duties including: - cleaning of equipment, kitchen appliances, crockery, windows etc.
