Job summary

Evergreen Care in Ireland is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for a part-time role within a nursing home. You will support the cook, maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen, assist with meal service, and contribute to a welcoming dining environment for residents.

The position offers in-house training, flexible working, and meals provided on shifts. A minimum of 1 year in a Kitchen Assistant role and knowledge of Basic Food Hygiene are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a Kitchen Assistant role.
• Maintain the catering department and dining area in a clean, hygienic, and welcoming state.
• Adhere to Basic Food Hygiene principles and HACCP.
• Assist the cook with food preparation and meal service.
• Strive for excellent food presentation and portion control.
• Encourage economical use of resources and a home-like environment for residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals under supervision.
