Job summary

Evergreen Care, a leading private nursing home operator in Ireland, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant/Domestic to join our catering team. The role involves planning, preparing and cooking meals under the Head Chef/Nurse Manager, focusing on nutritious, resident-centered dining.

Full training will be provided and a friendly, supportive work environment with flexible shifts, meals on shifts over 8 hours, and on-site parking. Relocation/commuting required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience working as a chef.
• Full training will be provided.
• Ability to plan, prepare and cook meals under supervision.
• Commitment to hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and cook meals as directed by Head Chef/Nurse Manager.
• Promote nutritious meals and meet residents' expectations.
• Ensure catering department meets regulatory obligations and internal standards.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen and dining area.
• Manage kitchen staff in a respectful manner.
• Ensure excellent food presentation.
• Keep well-stocked kitchen and manage resources efficiently.
• Contribute to a home-like environment centering residents' needs.
