Job summary

RedChair Recruitment is representing a Kerry-based client recruiting a Construction Project Manager to lead delivery of large-scale projects across multiple sites. The role oversees all aspects of delivery, ensuring safety, timeliness, budget adherence and high quality, with strong leadership and stakeholder management.

The position is permanent with a mix of office and site-based work, requiring coordination of multidisciplinary teams and effective cost control.

Qualifications

• Degree, diploma, or trade qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction or civil engineering sector.
• Progression from a Senior Engineer role.
• Strong knowledge of in-situ concrete frame construction and civil works.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organisational, and negotiation skills.
• Commercially aware with strong cost management experience.
• Clear full driving license.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from planning through to completion and handover.
• Lead site teams, subcontractors, engineers, and design consultants.
• Coordinate design development, RFIs, and technical workshops.
• Monitor project programmes, budgets, and key milestones.
• Prepare weekly work schedules and progress reports.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Chair site and management meetings.
• Promote a strong health, safety, environmental, and quality culture.
• Work closely with commercial teams to achieve project objectives.
• Resolve technical and operational issues to maintain project progress.
