Job summary

Global Professional Consultants is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join Ireland's leading Civil Contractor on major civil infrastructure projects in Dublin. The role focuses on NEC contracts and cost control across residential and large civil schemes.

You will support procurement, valuations, final accounts and cost reporting, working with project teams to manage risks while developing your skills in COINS, Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
• 1 year experience in quantity surveying within the Civil Engineering/Construction sector or college placement/ internship.
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control, and procurement processes.
• Proven experience with NEC contracts is essential.
• Proficient in COINS, Primavera P6, MS Project & MS Office.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Procurement, appointment and management of subcontractors & suppliers through to final account
• Produce accurate progress accounts
• Preparation and assessment of interim and final valuations for progress payments
• Monitor and report on project costs
• Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and cost overruns
• Assist the pre-construction team in the delivery of tenders
• Stay updated on industry innovations, regulations etc

Due to continued growth, new contracts and an extensive pipeline of work, Ireland’s largest Civil Contractor have an exciting opportunity for Junior Quantity Surveyors to join their team working on a large-scale civil infrastructure projects in Dublin. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NEC contracts and a strong background in civil engineering projects. Candidates will be working on residential and large civil infrastructure projects.

Role:

These include but are not limited to:
