Job summary

MCS Group is supporting an established business in Dublin to hire a Junior Software Engineer to help enhance its core software platform. You’ll work on a modern TypeScript stack with Node.js/NestJS, React admin portal and Next.js customer site, hosted on AWS.

You’ll start by collaborating with an external development partner and senior developers, then help bring development in-house and shape engineering practices for ongoing growth.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software development experience with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js/NestJS and React/Next.js.
• Experience with AWS-based deployments and databases (MySQL).
• Knowledge of API integrations and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features across backend and frontend.
• Maintain APIs, MySQL databases, and third-party integrations.
• Improve performance, accessibility, reliability, and UX.
• Support real-time functionality and content delivery.
• Collaborate with external partners and internal teams.
