Job summary

MCS Group is partnering with a growing Irish technology company building secure, AI-powered software used by businesses across international markets. They seek a Senior Full Stack Developer to join the engineering team as they scale and modernise the platform.

The role spans across backend and frontend with Java, Spring, TypeScript, React, Angular and AWS; strong Java/Spring experience is essential, with ownership of features and problem solving across the stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong background building production applications and ownership of features.
• Excellent Java and Spring experience in a commercial setting.
• Frontend experience with React, Angular or similar frameworks.
• TypeScript/JavaScript experience.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs.
• Strong relational database knowledge.
• Commercial cloud experience, ideally AWS.
• Git and CI/CD experience.
• Strong debugging and production troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve backend applications using Java and Spring.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs across backend and frontend systems.
• Work across modern JavaScript/TypeScript applications using React and Angular.
• Build and support scalable services within AWS.
• Improve existing architecture as platform evolves.
• Work with relational databases and optimise performance.
• Investigate and troubleshoot production issues.
• Contribute to architectural and technical decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, QA and Engineering throughout the lifecycle.
