Job summary

The Recruitment Company is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer in Ireland to join a growing engineering team delivering large-scale, business-critical applications with a 70% front-end focus on Angular, TypeScript and RxJS. You will also engage with APIs, backend services and cloud infrastructure, influencing engineering practices and supporting teammates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience.
• Strong front-end experience with Angular, TypeScript and RxJS.
• Experience with modern Angular (Signals).
• Experience with Nx or monorepo environments.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and API-driven architectures.
• Some backend experience with Java/Spring or similar.
• Experience with AWS, CI/CD and production support.
• Strong testing practices and modern development practices.
• Experience with Vitest and/or Storybook is beneficial.
• Exposure to observability tooling and AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to technical design and solution discussions across the application stack.
• Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs and backend services.

• Improve application reliability, performance, maintainability and test coverage.
• Work closely with product, architecture and engineering teams to deliver new functionality.
• Support and mentor less experienced engineers.

We're working with an established technology organisation that is growing its engineering team and looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a team delivering large-scale, business-critical applications.

This is a 70% front-end focused role, with a strong emphasis on modern Angular development, while still giving you the opportunity to work across APIs, backend services and cloud infrastructure. You'll have a hands-on role in technical design, development and delivery, as well as opportunities to influence engineering practices and support other engineers.

Your Responsibilities

Your Experience

• 5+ years' commercial experience in software engineering, ideally within enterprise environments.
• Strong front-end development experience with Angular, TypeScript and RxJS.
• Good knowledge of modern Angular, including Signals.
• Experience working within Nx or monorepo environments.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and API-driven architectures.
• Some experience working with Java/Spring-based services or similar backend technologies.
• Experience with AWS, CI/CD and production support.
• Strong understanding of automated testing and modern development practices.
• Experience with Vitest and/or Storybook would be beneficial.
• Exposure to observability tooling and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot would be advantageous.
