Job summary

SSA Recruitment is seeking a Junior/Intermediate Estimator for a permanent role in their Dublin office. You will support the Senior Estimating Team with tenders for large-scale Irish projects, performing take-offs, reviewing docs, and assisting with pricing and cost analysis.

The role offers a clear pathway to Senior Estimator, pension contributions, and ongoing training, with hybrid options after probation depending on role. Full working rights in Ireland required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or similar.
• 14 years' experience in Estimating or Pre-Construction.
• Strong technical and numerical skills.
• Experience with Buildsoft/Cubit or similar software is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Full working rights in Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Measurement, take-offs, and BOQ preparation.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Assisting with pricing, cost analysis, and value engineering.
• Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations.
• Supporting the compilation of tender submissions.
• Maintaining databases, logs, and cost libraries.
• Contributing to bid handovers and post-tender reviews.
