Job summary

INFORM3 Recruitment is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer for major civil and marine projects across Cork and Limerick. The role supports on-site technical delivery, coordinating with Senior Engineers and Project Managers while developing your career in a well-established contractor.

You will assist with setting out, surveying, and on-site investigations, using AutoCAD and GPS/Total Station as needed. A degree in Civil Engineering and 2+ years’ experience are required, with a full driving license.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ post-graduate experience in a civil engineering or construction environment.
• Site-based experience with an understanding of construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting out and surveying of works on site.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings, specs and project docs.
• Carry out site measurements, surveys and as-built records.
• Assist with supervision and coordination of subcontractors and site teams.
• Monitor works to ensure conformity with drawings and programme.
• Assist with quality control and maintain site records.
• Support Senior Engineer and Project Manager with daily technical delivery.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders.
• Assist with method statements, risk assessments and quality documentation.
• Identify and help resolve technical issues on site.
• Ensure works comply with Health & Safety and environmental requirements.
• Assist with progress reporting and project documentation.

INFORM3 are recruiting for an experienced Junior Civil Engineer to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering a range of major civil and marine projects across Cork and Limerick.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer with 2+ years’ experience to develop their career while gaining valuable experience on large-scale projects. The role will involve working closely with the Senior Engineering and Project Management teams, supporting the technical delivery of works on site.

Junior Civil Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the setting out and surveying of works on site.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings, specifications and project documentation.
• Carry out site measurements, surveys and as-built records.
• Assist with the supervision and coordination of subcontractors and site teams.

Junior Civil Engineer Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ post-graduate experience in a civil engineering or construction environment.
• Site-based experience with a strong understanding of construction processes.
• Experience with setting out and surveying equipment.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Experience using GPS / Total Station would be advantageous.
• Previous experience in civil, marine, roads, infrastructure or groundworks would be beneficial.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a wider project team.
• Ability to work on own initiative and solve problems on site.
• Full clean driving licence.
