Job summary

Suir Engineering is seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer for a Pharma project based in Castletroy, Co. Limerick. You will work on schematic drawings, LV/HV equipment, and control/protection systems while supporting site and project teams.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Electrical Engineering with 1+ years of experience, strong communication skills, and exposure to power or renewables. A collaborative, detail‑driven mindset is valued, with opportunities for development within a multinational

Qualifications

• Third level degree in Electrical Engineering and 1+ years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in power and renewables sector is desirable.
• Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines with high attention to detail.
• Ability to influence colleagues at all levels and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Development and review of schematic drawings and single line diagrams.
• Complying with specific project safety requirements.
• Detailed design covering High & Low voltage equipment and control and protection systems.
• Specification, selection and procurement of equipment.
• Monitor progress against the program and provide engineering support to the project team.
• Create Test Packs for field use and for QA/QC documentation.
• Provide site support with up-to-date drawings and documentation.
• Review and upload handover documents to the Client.
• Update technical drawings on-site with live changes.
• Attend site walks and daily client meetings.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Electrical Engineer to join Suir Engineering. This position will be based Castletroy, Co. Limerick on a Pharmaceutical project.

We are currently expanding significantly, and are delivering large scale projects across Ireland, the U.K, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.

What you will be doing?

• Development and review of schematic drawings and single line diagrams
• Complying with specific project safety requirements
• Detailed design covering all aspects of High & Low voltage equipment and control and protection systems
• Specification, selection and procurement of the range of equipment
• Monitor progress against the program and issue progress reports. Provide engineering support for the project team and work closely alongside the Quality and Commissioning Teams.
• Create Test Packs for field use, this includes Test Sheets/QAQC Documents/Handover Documents/ Load Calculations for the Client.
• Provide support to the site team, i.e. supplying relevant documentation, most up-to-date drawings, identification tags, and other relevant site equipment.
• Review & upload Handover documents to the Client.
• Update technical drawings on-site with live updates and site changes
• Attend site walks / daily meetings with the client
