Job summary

Suir Engineering are hiring Electricians to work on a Pharmaceutical Project based in Cabinteely, Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown. You will lead a site team and ensure on-site safety while coordinating activities to meet the project programme.

Minimum 2 years’ experience, a valid Trade Certificate, and Safe Pass are required, along with strong communication and leadership skills. PC skills are advantageous; opportunities for international assignments exist.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience on electrical projects.
• Valid Trade Certificate and Safe Pass required.
• Strong safety focus and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• PC skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Lead a site team to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
• Assume on-site leadership and uphold HSE standards.
• Design daily action plans and two-week look aheads.
• Ensure materials are available for works and manage allocations.
• Submit daily allocation sheets and weekly progress reports.
• Monitor productivity, perform tests with field engineers, and identify improvements.
• Liaise with Client Representative and represent company standards.
• Monitor timekeeping and advise foreman on disciplinary issues.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.

Suir Engineering are currently looking to hire a number of Electricians to work on a Pharmaceutical Project based in Cabinteely, Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown.

We are currently expanding significantly, and are delivering large scale projects across Ireland, the U.K, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.

What you will be doing?

• Lead a team ensuring required tasks are completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
• Assume a leadership role on site and maintain standards of safety and comply with company Health, Safety and Environmental Management System requirements.
• Design an essential daily plan of action/works. Assist in designing a two-week look ahead for your team.
• Confirm all material needed for works is available to all operatives.
• Complete and submit daily allocation sheets.
• Complete and submit weekly progress reports.
• Work to the Project Programme and monitor and record productivity/efficiency (SE).
• Work with field Engineers to perform functional tests.
• Identify all additional works.
• Identify and highlight areas for improvement.
• Liaise with the Client Representative and always represent the company standards/ethos.
• Monitor team timekeeping and attendance.
• Advise the Foreman of any team disciplinary issues.
• Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested, necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company.
