Job summary

Creative Technology in Ireland is seeking a Junior / Trainee Technician to start a career in live events and AV technology. You will work in a professional environment, learn by doing, and develop through hands-on experience, training and guidance from experienced CT technicians.

From day one you will gain practical experience in warehouse testing, configuring equipment and supporting builds at live events, with opportunities to progress as your skills grow and you demonstrate initiative.

Are you passionate about technology, building and installing complex AV systems and working on live events? Would you like to learn how the technology behind professional live productions really works?

Creative Technology is looking for motivated Junior / Trainee Technicians who want to develop a career in the live events and AV industry.

You do not need to know everything when you start. We are looking for people with technical interest, motivation and the drive to learn. At CT, you will develop through hands‑on experience, training and working alongside experienced technicians.

What will you do?

From the start, you will gain practical experience in a professional live events and systems integration/installation environment. You will:

• Prepare, test and configure professional AV equipment in our warehouse.
• Support the build, operation and dismantling of technical systems at live events.
• Work alongside experienced CT technicians on real projects and productions.
• Develop practical knowledge in areas such as video, LED, audio, lighting and networks.
• Learn how to identify and solve technical problems.
• Follow internal training and specialist external training or certifications where required.
• Gradually take on more responsibility as your skills and experience develop.

A background in AV, electrical engineering, IT, stage technology or another technical field is useful, but it is not the only way into the role. Practical ability, technical interest and motivation are just as important.
