Job summary

Creative Technology is seeking junior/trainee technicians to develop a career in live events and AV systems. You will gain hands-on experience in configuring equipment, supporting builds and on-site operations.

No prior expertise required; enthusiasm, practical ability and a willingness to learn are valued. You will train and work with experienced CT technicians across video, LED, audio, lighting and networks.

Qualifications

• Interest in AV technology, live events or technical production.
• Practical, hands-on work mindset.
• Motivated to learn and develop.
• Team player with flexibility for different locations and hours.
• Background in AV, electrical engineering, IT or related technical field is useful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, test and configure professional AV equipment in the warehouse.
• Support the build, operation and dismantling of technical systems at live events.
• Work alongside experienced CT technicians on real projects.
• Develop knowledge in video, LED, audio, lighting and networks.
• Learn to identify and solve technical problems.
• Follow internal and external training or certifications as required.
• Progress to greater responsibilities as skills develop.

Creative Technology is looking for motivated Junior / Trainee Technicians who want to develop a career in the live events and AV industry.

You do not need to know everything when you start. We are looking for people with technical interest, motivation and the drive to learn. At CT, you will develop through hands‑on experience, training and working alongside experienced technicians.

What will you do?

From the start, you will gain practical experience in a professional live events and systems integration/installation environment. You will:

• Prepare, test and configure professional AV equipment in our warehouse.
• Support the build, operation and dismantling of technical systems at live events.
• Work alongside experienced CT technicians on real projects and productions.
• Develop practical knowledge in areas such as video, LED, audio, lighting and networks.
• Learn how to identify and solve technical problems.
• Follow internal training and specialist external training or certifications where required.
• Gradually take on more responsibility as your skills and experience develop.

A background in AV, electrical engineering, IT, stage technology or another technical field is useful, but it is not the only way into the role. Practical ability, technical interest and motivation are just as important.
