Job summary

R&D Partners is seeking a Laboratory IT Systems Support Specialist to provide day-to-day support, maintenance, and configuration of laboratory IT systems in a regulated environment. You will work closely with laboratory teams, vendors, and IT infrastructure groups to ensure systems are reliable, compliant, and meet operational needs.

This role focuses on troubleshooting, system improvements, and maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with laboratory IT systems such as LIMS and Empower.
• Ability to troubleshoot user access, data flow, and software configurations.
• Experience with system validation, testing, and documentation.
• Knowledge of GMP, data integrity and cybersecurity requirements.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for laboratory software and systems, such as LIMS, Empower, and other lab applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, including user access, software configurations, and data flow.
• Manage system integrations between lab instruments, databases, and enterprise systems.
• Maintain system settings, user roles, and security controls in line with compliance policies.
• Assist with database-related tasks, such as backups, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
• Support system validation activities, including testing, documentation, and periodic reviews.
• Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and maintenance with minimal disruption to lab operations.
• Create and update system documentation, including SOPs and user guides.
• Provide evidence and documentation during audits and inspections.
• Train lab users on system workflows and best practices.
• Collaborate with vendors for issue resolution and system enhancements.
