Job summary

Ashford Castle is seeking an IT Support Technician to join the IT team onsite at Cong, County Mayo, Ireland. This full-time role covers first-line support, hardware, software and network issues, with tickets logged and resolved efficiently.

You will maintain IT systems, assist with account management and system upgrades, and ensure security and policy compliance while delivering excellent user service.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support, helpdesk or technical support roles.
• Strong troubleshoot and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365 and business apps.
• Understanding of hardware, networking and system administration.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage priorities.
• Relevant IT qualification or certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support to users for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, phones, and IT equipment.
• Log and track support tickets in a timely, professional manner.
• Assist with user account management, password resets, and access requests.
• Help maintain the security of IT systems, networks and devices.
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve complex problems when needed.
• Assist with system upgrades, software installations and IT projects.
• Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset registers and inventories.
• Provide user training and guidance on IT systems and best practices.
• Ensure IT services align with company policies and security standards.

We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive IT Support Technician to join our IT team at Ashford Estate. This role is responsible for providing first-line technical support, maintaining IT systems and equipment, and ensuring colleagues receive timely and effective assistance with hardware, software, and network-related issues.

The only Double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in the UK & Ireland.

Location: Cong, County Mayo, Ireland / Onsite.

Working pattern: Full-time contract / 5 days over 7 days / 9am - 5:30pm

Key Responsibilities of an IT Support Technician:

• Provide first-line IT support to users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, phones, and other IT equipment.
