Job summary

Quanta Consultancy Services Ltd has been engaged by a global pharmaceutical client in Roscommon, Ireland to recruit an IT Infrastructure Technician on an initial 12-month contract for Life Sciences projects.

You will support delivery of critical IT infrastructure work packages from installation through commissioning and handover, coordinate with engineering, facilities, automation, vendors and Global IT Operations, and maintain detailed technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree, diploma or equivalent in IT, CS, Network Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Extensive experience supporting IT infrastructure, ICT deployment, data centre, network or regulated manufacturing infrastructure projects.
• Practical experience with structured cabling, rack builds, patching, network hardware, server hardware, Wi-Fi infrastructure, asset management and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of IT infrastructure work packages from installation through commissioning and handover.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Facilities, Automation, vendors and Global IT Operations; monitor vendor activities and ensure work aligns with scope and standards.
• Prepare, review and maintain technical documentation, asset records, rack layouts, patching records, test evidence and as-built drawings.

IT Infrastructure Technician – Roscommon, Ireland – Initial 12-Month Contract – Life Sciences

Our client, a global pharmaceutical company, are looking for a IT Infrastructure Technician to support the delivery their project based in Roscommon. The company has grown to become a world leader in the development, manufacture and marketing of innovative pharmaceutical products to alleviate some of the world’s biggest health problems.

What you’ll deliver:

Support delivery of critical IT infrastructure work packages from installation through commissioning and operational handover. Coordinate with Engineering, Facilities, Automation, vendors and Global IT Operations. Monitor ICT vendor activities, support site coordination, raise concerns or deviations, and verify that work is completed in line with agreed scope, safety requirements, documentation standards and approved technical specifications. Participate in construction walk-downs, identify installation defects, manage snag lists and verify completion prior to acceptance. Prepare, review and maintain technical documentation including asset records, rack layouts, patching records, test evidence, as-built drawings, commissioning records, handover packs and ServiceNow-related information where applicable.

Experience required:

• Degree, diploma, trade qualification or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, Infrastructure, Electrical/ICT systems or a related technical discipline.


• Extensive experience supporting IT infrastructure, ICT deployment, data centre, network, server room or regulated manufacturing infrastructure projects.


• Practical experience with structured cabling, rack builds, patching, network hardware, server hardware, Wi-Fi infrastructure, asset management and technical documentation.


• Ability to follow approved procedures, standards, drawings, method statements and project instructions while working safely in construction, commissioning or operational environments.
