Job summary

The Panel is seeking a strategic IT infrastructure and digital transformation leader to guide 3-5 year roadmaps, drive cloud migration to Azure, and connect financial, planning, design, scheduling, and production systems across multiple locations.

You will design the cybersecurity foundation, oversee cross-functional projects, and ensure IT initiatives translate into measurable operational improvements. Leadership of IT teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years leading IT infrastructure, systems integration, or cloud migration in manufacturing, construction, or similar sectors.
• Proven ability to design and deliver IT infrastructure roadmaps with measurable operational impact.
• Hands-on cloud migration experience (Azure, AWS) and cross-system integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a 3-5 year IT digital, infrastructure, data and systems integration roadmap aligned with business strategy.
• Lead cloud migration from legacy on-premise servers to Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Design network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and connectivity across multiple locations.
• Lead systems integration across financial, planning, design, scheduling, and production systems.
• Translate IT improvements into operational gains and develop governance and ROI frameworks.

Job description

Our client is a manufacturing business with HQ in Dublin and other UK locations.

They are currently operating with systems: financial platforms, planning systems, design platforms, scheduling systems, production systems but now we need better integration.

We have already invested in cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure), cybersecurity, and new systems (construction ERP, Autodesk Construction Cloud, financial, planning, scheduling, etc). Now they need someone to connect it all and ensure the integration drives real operational improvement.

Role

• Strategic IT infrastructure and digital transformation role. Lead IT systems integration and cloud migration to unlock operational improvements across planning, scheduling, and manufacturing processes.
• Design and execute IT infrastructure and systems integration roadmap (3-5 years). Not just "connect the systems" — ensure better IT connectivity enables better planning, better scheduling, better operations, better data-driven decisions.
• Lead cloud migration (legacy servers → Azure). Design network infrastructure and cybersecurity foundation. Connect financial, planning, design, scheduling, and production systems. Ensure systems integration drives process improvement across the business.

Experience

• 8-12 years leading IT infrastructure, systems integration, or cloud migration in manufacturing, construction, or operations-heavy sectors
• Proven track record designing and delivering IT infrastructure roadmaps with measurable operational impact
• Cloud migration experience (Azure, AWS, or similar) with hands-on execution
• Systems integration or ERP implementation experience (connecting fragmented business systems)
• Leadership of IT infrastructure teams and cross-functional projects
• Manufacturing, construction, or operations sector experience preferred

• Ensure IT systems & infrastructure improvements translate to operational improvements (planning, scheduling, efficiency, data-driven decisions)
• Develop IT governance and data management framework
• Create business cases and ROI for IT investments
