Job summary

NolanTransport.com is seeking a Payroll Assistant to join a busy payroll team in New Ross. This full-time role offers office hours Monday to Friday within a dynamic finance department of a large company.

The successful candidate will handle fortnightly and monthly payroll, respond to queries, manage deductions and timekeeping, and support end-to-end payroll processes with accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• IPASS qualification with a minimum of 2 years experience on a busy payroll desk.
• Solid understanding of payroll legislation and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet payroll deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide support in the processing of fortnightly and monthly payroll for high volumes of employees.
• Deal with pay related queries from employees and managers.
• Process expense payments for employees.
• Process new starters and leavers.
• Ensure the set-up and management of employee deductions, benefits and taxable payments.
• Manage electronic timekeeping system – Timepoint.
• Input payroll related journal entries on the general ledger.
• Other routine payroll administration tasks.
