Job summary

Ward Automation is seeking a Storeperson to oversee ordering, receiving and storing all goods for the company in Ireland. The role emphasises continuous improvement and lean principles within stores and the ERP system.

You will drive value through efficient procurement and accurate inventory management. The candidate should have experience in similar roles, hold a forklift licence and demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Forklift licence will be required for the role.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Order, receive and store goods; manage ERP purchasing.
• Purchase components and engineering consumables.
• Receive and check materials and ensure proper storage.
• Prepare and kit components for different machines.
• Operate forklift to load/unload deliveries.
• Handle returns of non-conforming parts and manage returns.
• Coordinate collection and shipping; complete documentation and customs.
• Obtain best prices and discounts from suppliers.
• Monitor orders/deliveries; address delays with the project team.
• Suggest ERP improvements; implement Lean techniques such as 5S.
• Maintain tidy workspace and storage system; identify safety risks.
