Job summary

Chadwick's Group, part of Grafton Group Plc, is seeking a Stock Controller at Jamestown Road, Inchicore, Dublin 8. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will perform daily cycle counting and investigations of variances while overseeing stock takes in the branch.

You will handle goods inwards, maintain stock system accuracy and liaise with yard staff for neat, orderly counts and forward planning. Strong IT, Excel skills and attention to detail are essential.

• Excellent IT literacy with the ability to learn new systems.
• Excellent numerical and data entry skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Pro-active approach with a positive attitude.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Daily Cycle Counts – maintain 70 to 90 items per day.
• Daily Goods Inwards – input promptly and follow procedures.
• Update and maintain accuracy of stock management system.
• Run variance reports and investigate shortages / overages.
• Label materials in yard, stores and shop accurately.
• Report high value variances to Branch Manager.
• Identify aged/slow-moving stock; liaise with other branches.
• Coordinate with stores staff on docket changes.
• Coordinate with yard foreman for neat, planned counts.
• Work with Price File team on barcode issues.
