Job summary

Chadwick's Group in Dublin is seeking a Stock Controller for our Inchicore branch. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will perform daily cycle counts and investigate variances, while overseeing stock takes to ensure accuracy across yard, stores and shop.

The role requires strong numerical and data entry skills, excellent Excel ability, and the ability to plan, prioritise and work both as part of a team and on your own initiative. Competitive benefits and a supportive environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with customer and supplier return systems and procedures.
• Excellent IT literacy and ability to learn new systems.
• Good product knowledge of Building/Plumbing Materials.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and organise the function effectively.
• Excellent numerical / Data entry skills.
• Computer literacy with Excel skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and on your own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Daily Cycle Counts: maintain 70–90 items per day.
• Daily Goods Inwards and ensure procedures.
• Update and maintain accuracy of stock management system.
• Run variance reports and investigate shortages/overages.
• Label all materials in yard, stores and shop.
• Report high-value variances to Branch Manager.
• Identify aged/slow-moving stock and liaise with branches.
• Liaise with stores staff for docket changes.
• Liaise with yard foreman for neat stocks and forward planning.
