Job summary

Chadwick's Group, part of the Grafton Group Plc, is seeking a Stock Controller for The Panelling Centre on Ballysimon Road, Limerick. You will perform daily cycle counts, investigate variances, and ensure stock is in the correct locations while serving customers.

You will manage Goods Inwards, input counts promptly, and maintain accurate stock records. A proactive, detail‑oriented professional with strong Excel skills is required for a permanent full‑time role.

Responsibilities

• Daily Cycle Counts – maintain daily counts of 70–90 items.
• Complete stock cycle counts monthly.
• Ensure stock is in correct locations.
• Put stock away and maintain stock organisation.
• Serve customers as required.
• Daily Goods Inwards – prompt input and compliance with procedures.
• Update and maintain accuracy of branch computer stock management system.
• Run variance reports and investigate shortages/overages.
• Ensure materials are labelled in yard, stores and shop.
• Report to Branch Manager on high value items with variances.
• Identify aged and slow-moving stock; liaise with charge hands and other branches.
• Liaise with stores staff for changes on dockets.
• Liaise with yard foreman to maintain neat stocks and planning of counts.
• Liaise with Price File team on barcode issues.
