Job summary

Primeline Group is seeking an engaging Health & Safety Trainer to develop operator capability and promote safe working practices across multiple sites in Ireland. You will train on MHE equipment, verify operator licences, and deliver safety programmes to strengthen our safety culture.

The role involves coaching, incident support, and ongoing development of a robust training framework to improve compliance and operational performance.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering MHE training in logistics/ FMCG.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills.
• Willingness to travel between sites.
• Accreditations required: RTITB/TITB, IPAF, Manual Handling Instructor.

Responsibilities

• Deliver MHE training for equipment (VNA, Bendi/Flexi, Counterbalance, Reach Trucks, PPTs).
• Support onboarding and development of new operators.
• Verify licences and operator competency.
• Deliver Manual Handling training and refresher programmes.
• Adapt training to different learning styles and needs.
• Conduct safety toolbox talks and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Development

• Deliver MHE training for colleagues and agency staff across a range of equipment, including VNA, Bendi/Flexi, Counterbalance, Reach Trucks and PPTs.
• Support the onboarding and development of new operators.
• Verify licences, qualifications and operator competency.
• Deliver Manual Handling training and refresher programmes.
• Adapt training to suit different learning styles and operational needs.

Safety & Compliance

• Conduct competency assessments and follow-up coaching.
• Support colleagues following incidents, near misses or performance concerns.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Assist with risk assessments, SOP reviews and wider safety initiatives.
• Maintain training records, competency matrices and licence tracking systems.
• Support audit readiness and compliance requirements.

About You

• Experience delivering MHE training within logistics, warehousing, distribution or FMCG environments.
• Strong communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Passion for workplace safety and continuous improvement.
• Flexible to travel between sites as required.
• RTITB/TITB accreditation (or willingness to achieve).
• IPAF licence (or willingness to obtain).
• Manual Handling Instructor certification (or willingness to obtain).
