Job summary

Ascend Project Management is seeking an experienced Internal Finishes Package Owner to lead the delivery of architectural and high-specification internal finishes on a major biopharmaceutical construction project in County Dublin.

You will own the package from construction readiness through installation and handover, coordinating the main contractor, specialist subcontractors, design disciplines and client stakeholders to ensure safety, quality and schedule.

Qualifications

  • A relevant qualification in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline is preferred.
  • At least eight years' experience delivering construction packages on major capital projects.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for architectural, cleanroom or internal-finishes packages through construction and handover.

Responsibilities

  • Take end-to-end responsibility for the delivery of internal architectural finishes across assigned buildings and areas.
  • Coordinate the installation of partitions, ceilings, doors, flooring, wall finishes, cleanroom finishes and associated architectural elements.
  • Manage the performance of the main contractor and specialist finishes subcontractors against agreed safety, quality and schedule requirements.
  • Coordinate interfaces with HVAC, mechanical, electrical, fire-protection, process-equipment and cleanroom packages.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, technical submittals, RFIs, shop drawings and proposed field changes.
  • Confirm construction readiness, including design availability, material status, access and completion of preceding works.
  • Identify design, sequencing and site issues and drive their resolution with the relevant engineering and construction teams.
  • Monitor progress against short-term plans and key project milestones, challenging recovery plans where performance falls behind schedule.
  • Participate in daily coordination meetings, contractor meetings and construction look-ahead planning.
  • Lead area walkdowns, snagging, punch-list management and progressive closeout of the package.
  • Ensure inspection records, quality documentation, red-line drawings and turnover information are completed progressively.
  • Support the structured handover of completed rooms and areas to commissioning, qualification and client operations teams.
  • Provide clear reporting on package progress, constraints, risks and decisions required.

Working as part of the site-based project delivery team, the successful candidate will take ownership of the package from construction readiness through installation, completion and handover. The role will involve coordinating the main contractor, specialist subcontractors, design disciplines and client stakeholders to ensure the works are delivered safely, to the required quality standard and in line with the overall project schedule.

Skills & Experience


  • A relevant qualification in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline is preferred.

  • At least eight years' experience delivering construction packages on major capital projects.

  • Demonstrated responsibility for architectural, cleanroom or internal-finishes packages through construction and handover.

  • Strong experience managing contractors and coordinating multiple technical and construction interfaces.

  • Ability to interpret architectural drawings, specifications, schedules and technical submittals.

  • Strong knowledge of construction quality, inspection, snagging and turnover processes.

  • A proactive site presence with the ability to resolve issues and maintain progress in a fast-paced project environment.

  • Excellent stakeholder-management, planning and communication skills.

  • Previous pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, semiconductor, data-centre or other high-specification construction experience would be beneficial.

  • Cleanroom, GMP facility or regulated manufacturing project experience is strongly preferred.


Contract Information


  • Rate: TBC dependent on level of skills and expertise.

  • Start Date: As soon as possible

  • Length of Contract: 12 months contract with possible extension.

  • Schedule: 4-5 days per week on site.

  • Eligibility: Candidates must hold an Irish/EU passport or a valid Stamp 1G or Stamp 4 permission enabling them to work in Ireland
