Job summary

Walls Construction seeks a Finishing Supervisor for Dublin-based residential projects. The role focuses on overseeing internal and external finishing works, delivering high-quality finishes on programme while adhering to health and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a carpentry background with 6+ years of site management experience and a proven record of supervising finishing trades on large residential developments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all finishing trades including carpentry, joinery, drylining, painting, tiling, flooring, kitchens, wardrobes, and final fit-out works
• Supervise subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to specification
• Carry out snagging inspections, manage snag lists, and ensure timely close-out
• Coordinate with Site Manager, Project Manager, design teams, and subcontractors
• Maintain accurate site records, inspections, and progress reports
• Assist with handover processes, including final inspections and client walkthroughs

PE Global are delighted to be working with a very good client of ours who are a leading tier 1 Building and Fit Out contractor, head office based in Dublin 17. We are currently seeking an experienced Finishing Supervisor to join our team on Dublin-based residential projects. This role is ideal for a trade-qualified professional from a carpentry background with strong attention to detail and proven experience managing finishing stages on high-quality housing or apartment developments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all internal and external finishing works, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standard, on programme, and in compliance with health & safety and quality requirements. Project location is D16 and this is a full time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate all finishing trades including carpentry, joinery, drylining, painting, tiling, flooring, kitchens, wardrobes, and final fit-out works
• Supervise and direct subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to specification
• Ensure all finishes meet Walls Construction's quality standards and client expectations
• Carry out snagging inspections, manage snag lists, and ensure timely close-out
• Coordinate with Site Manager, Project Manager, design teams, and subcontractors
• Monitor progress against programme and report issues or delaysEnsure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company procedures
• Maintain accurate site records, inspections, and progress reports
• Assist with handover processes, including final inspections and client walkthroughs

Requirements:

• 6+ years' site management experience
• Previous main contractor experience; ideally large-scale structural, external, and groundworks on commercial, mixed-use, residential, pharmaceutical, or data centre projects
• Third-level qualification or trades background (excellent knowledge of trades)
• Proven experience as a Finishing Supervisor or Senior Carpenter on residential construction projects
• Strong knowledge of finishing trades and high-end residential finishes
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
• Good understanding of Irish building regulations and H&S requirements
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple trades simultaneously
