Eli Lilly Limerick Lilly is currently constructing a Next Generation Biotech Drug Substance Manufacturing Facility in Limerick, Ireland. This facility will be Lilly’s most technically advanced manufacturing site and will include next-generation manufacturing technologies and advanced data collection and analysis platforms that will deliver improvements in safety and quality, and increased productivity and process performance.

The Quality Control Laboratory (QCL) department is responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of products through rigorous testing and analysis. During the placement, the student will be exposed to a variety of roles and functions within the QC lab, working collaboratively across the QCL teams. This teamwork will provide the student with opportunities to apply their existing knowledge and further expand their expertise in quality control processes, while learning from and contributing to the collective efforts of the QCL team. Additionally, the student will develop and enhance their problem‑solving skills by addressing real‑world quality challenges alongside experienced professional.
