The Lilly Kinsale manufacturing operation is located in Dunderrow, close to the historic and scenic town of Kinsale, Co Cork. The mission of the Kinsale facility is to support the commercialisation, manufacture and supply of many of the newest medicines in Lilly’s portfolio. Production of medicines commenced in Kinsale in 1981 and today the manufacturing campus in Kinsale employs around 1,200 people and uses chemical and peptide synthesis, and biotechnology manufacturing processes to make active ingredients for medicines across all therapeutic areas referenced above. The site also works in close partnership with the Lilly global research and development function in the areas of process development and optimisation across all three manufacturing platforms.

Responsibilities

The student will work in the laboratory supporting these operations. During the placement the student will be exposed to a variety of roles and functions while working as part of a cross functional team.

• Working alongside the TS/MS team will enable the student to employ their existing knowledge and to expand it further.
