Job summary

Crown is Ireland's leading specialist roofing, cladding and façade contractor, delivering innovative building envelope solutions across Ireland and Europe. We seek an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to support projects in Ireland and Europe, with remote or hybrid working and occasional site travel.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will manage costs, valuations, variations and final accounts, while supporting procurement and contract administration on large-scale projects across sectors

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline.
• Relevant experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of commercial management, cost control and contracts.
• Experience in valuations, variations, subcontractor management and final accounts.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
• High attention to detail and IT skills, especially Excel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full, clean, valid driving licence.
• Based in Ireland or the UK and able to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Managing project costs, budgets and cash flow.
• Preparing and submitting interim valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Assisting with tender preparation, pricing submissions and procurement activities.
• Managing subcontractor accounts, payment applications and commercial negotiations.
• Monitoring project costs and financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Preparing cost reports, forecasts and commercial documentation.
• Reviewing contractual documentation and supporting contract administration.
• Collaborating with the Commercial Manager, Project Managers and site teams.
• Supporting value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.
• Carrying out site measurements and assessing progress.
• Maintaining accurate commercial records and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
• Travelling to project sites across Ireland and Europe as required.
