Job summary

ProSource Group, a leading construction contractor, is seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team in the South East. You will manage the commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to completion and contribute to a varied portfolio that includes pharmaceutical and main contractor works across Tipperary, Carlow, Waterford and surrounding areas.

The ideal candidate has a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics, 5–7+ years’ QS experience,

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• 5–7+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
• Main contractor experience is highly preferred.
• Experience working on pharmaceutical projects would be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of commercial and contractual processes.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage projects independently while working effectively as part of a wider team.

Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial aspects of projects from pre-construction through to completion
• Preparing valuations, cost reports, forecasts and commercial reports
• Managing procurement and subcontractor packages
• Monitoring project costs, variations, claims and final accounts
• Reviewing contracts and ensuring commercial compliance
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
• Working closely with project managers, site teams and senior management
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers
