Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Ireland seeks an Intermediate Planner to support the planning strategy for a major project. You will assist with drafting submissions, coordinating environmental inputs, and managing CPO-related planning tasks alongside the Land and Property leadership team.

You will work with a diverse group of stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely delivery. A minimum of 5 years in urban planning and strong Irish planning knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years post-qualification experience in urban planning
• Knowledge of the Irish planning system and regulations
• Experience submitting planning applications of varying types
• Experience in planning feasibility studies and risk assessment
• Ability to analyse data and provide actionable recommendations
• Experience engaging with landowners, homeowners and community groups
• Experience working in fast-paced environments and meeting deadlines
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands

Responsibilities

• Assist Senior Planner and Head of Land and Property Services in their duties
• Support performance management of the Land and Property team, aligning with the project plan
• Follow guidance from senior case managers to achieve project objectives
• Ensure adherence to policies and stakeholders' requirements
• Assist in planning policy submissions and reflect relevant guidance
• Develop and implement planning strategy aligned with project goals
• Prepare planning inputs, applications and reports, respond to information requests and manage appeals
• Coordinate environmental reports (EIAR/AA) for planning submissions
• Assist with planning inputs for CPO claims
• Engage with landowners, homeowners and community groups to secure consensus
• Collate and interpret socio-economic data for development proposals and policy change
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal/external stakeholders and senior management
• Ensure GDPR and data security compliance
