Contract: Short-Term / Interim Assignment

Force Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller for an immediate short-term assignment with an established organisation based in Kilkenny.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who is immediately available and comfortable stepping into an established finance function to provide stability and hands-on support during a period of transition.

The initial requirement is expected to be for a number of weeks, with the successful individual taking ownership of the key day-to-day Financial Controller responsibilities and ensuring continuity across the finance function.

The Role

Working closely with the senior leadership and finance teams, you will provide experienced Financial Controller-level support across areas including:

• Oversight of the day-to-day finance function
• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
• Month-end reporting and financial controls
• Cash flow and balance sheet oversight
• Supporting year-end, audit and statutory requirements as required
• Ensuring key finance processes and reporting deadlines remain on track
• Supporting and providing guidance to the wider finance team
• Providing financial information and insight to senior stakeholders
• Maintaining continuity across the function during the interim period

About You

We are particularly interested in speaking with experienced finance professionals who can step into an established environment and get up to speed quickly.

Ideally, you will have:

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification
• Previous Financial Controller or senior finance leadership experience
• Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience
• Experience working within a multi-entity or group environment
• Strong knowledge of financial controls, month-end and year-end processes
• The confidence to work autonomously and take ownership of an existing finance function
• Strong stakeholder and team management skills
• Immediate or very short-notice availability

Experience with AccountsIQ would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Assignment

This is a short-term interim requirement and would suit an experienced Financial Controller who is between roles, currently contracting or simply open to a short-term assignment.

The priority is finding someone who can come in quickly, understand the existing processes and provide a steady pair of hands across the core Financial Controller workload.

A competitive hourly/daily rate will be agreed depending on experience.
