Job summary

Grant Thornton Ireland is seeking experienced professionals to join its Insurance finance team, delivering industry roles and outsourced support for global corporate compliance and monthly finance processes. The roles involve transitions, process improvements, and automation solutions to drive efficiencies.

Key responsibilities include managing compliance for multi nationals, advising on IFRS/UK GAAP, and building strong client relationships while coaching junior staff and pursuing new business

Qualifications

• 2-3 years practical accounting experience, ideally in Insurance.
• Familiarity with IFRS and national GAAP requirements.
• Experience in client relationships and senior stakeholder negotiations.
• Knowledge of IFRS17 is desirable.
• Strong reporting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing compliance assignments for multi nationals including centralised statutory accounting and compliance projects.
• Supporting internal finance teams and financial operations.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of client operations and use this knowledge on assignments.
• Providing practical accounting advice to clients on a variety of issues.
• Advising on accounting requirements under IFRS and Irish & UK GAAP.
• Identifying new business opportunities and converting leads and opportunities into projects.
• Ensuring quality and timely service is delivered to clients.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior finance personnel.
• Managing and coaching junior team members; and
• Promoting FAAS both internally and externally, articulating all FAAS services and the value that we bring to our clients.
