Job summary

UPMC Ireland is seeking a facilities assistant at the UPMC Sports Surgery Clinic in Dublin. This full-time contract role features alternating weeks with shifts from 06:30–14:30 and 11:00–19:00, Monday through Saturday.

The role involves general maintenance, cabinet work, locks, hardware, cleaning, waste handling, and on-site support. Candidates should have at least 2 years’ handyman experience, proficiency with basic tools, and good English.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of trade and handyman skills.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
• Ability to perform general maintenance on buildings and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist and carry out general maintenance tasks as requested.
• Build, install and paint cabinets, shelves and fittings.
• Install/repair locks, hardware and furniture.
• Window cleaning and landscape maintenance.
• Handle clinical waste collection and laundry delivery.
• Deliver bottled medical gases to departments.
• On-call support to the clinic every six weeks.
