Job summary

Unum Ireland’s Technology Centre in Carlow is hiring for an Infrastructure Middleware/AI/Automation Engineer Internship as part of the 2027 IT Internship Program. Interns will help build and maintain integration platforms and contribute to technology solutions based on customer requirements.

You will coordinate with vendors and support teams to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement. Applicants should be analytical, self-motivated, and strong team players who communicate effectively.

Infrastructure Middleware/AI/Automation Engineer Internship Unum Ireland - 2027 IT Internship Program

Summary Administration Engineers are responsible for the building, maintenance, and configuration of a range of platforms within our environment. (MuleSoft, IIB/ACE – IBM Integration Bus, Biztalk, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, IBM BAW (formerly known as BPM). They ensure applications are maintained to high quality standards by collaborating with Developers and Architect team members and by leveraging unit testing and continuous integration. They participate in the estimation of work required to deliver software features and administrating the platform and analyze and develop technology solutions based on customer requirements. They also Coordinate with vendors and support team on problem resolution, design issues and upgrades and offer suggestions as a valued member of the team.
