Job summary

Cpl in Dublin seeks a senior Windows Server Architect for a long-term, daily-rate contract. The role is hybrid with on-site activity in Dublin three days a week, focusing on architecture review, design, implementation and security hardening of Windows Server OS.

You will lead automation, patch management, vulnerability reporting and monitoring enhancements, interfacing with IT teams and vendors to ensure high availability and security across AD, file services and virtualization.

Qualifications

• 15+ years experience as a Windows Server Engineer/Architect.

Responsibilities

• Configure Windows Server OS builds, deployment automation and lifecycle management.
• Design, implement and manage automation within the Windows Server perimeter.
• Administer Active Directory, Azure AD, GPO, DFS/DFSR, DNS, DHCP, clustering and HA.
• Monitor, patch, and harden Windows Server and related services.
• Engage with IT, business teams and vendors on HA, backups and monitoring.

Job description

Windows Server infrastructure architect, urgent long term daily rate contracting role. Hybrid Dublin office on site 3 days.

Enterprise level skillset, to assist with the architecture review, design, implementation and management of Windows Server OS security hardening. Including but not limited to group policies, DSC configurations, LAPS. Provide SME level Windows Server support and administration (AD, File Services, DFS, GPO, DNS, DHCP, Windows Clustering, Certificate authorities, etc)

• Windows Server OS build configuration definition, build certification, build deployment automation
• Lifecycle management of Windows Servers i.e. provisioning, de-provisioning, enforcement of configuration management (virtual and physical server infrastructure)
• Assist with the design, implementation and management of automation activities within the Windows Server perimeter:
• Windows Server deployment / deprovisioning automation
• Identity management automation
• Reporting
• Review, recommend and implement enhancements that will reduce BAU effort, improve performance, reliability and security within the Windows Server perimeter, including but not limited to:
• Windows Server patch management
• Windows Server AntiVirus protection system
• Vulnerability management
• Compliance reporting
• Automation of common BAU activities
• Enhance the automation and reporting quality of daily checks
• Assist with O365 tenant management, identity security, reporting, licensing and BAU automation
• Assist with an architectural review of the monitoring implementation within the Windows Server & VMWare perimeter. Review, propose and implement changes to improve the monitoring capabilities
• Liaise with IT teams, business teams and vendors with regards to Windows Server system implementation, high availability, back-up, monitoring
• Perform Windows Server infrastructure morning checks where required

Require 15+ years experience as a Windows Server Engineer / Architect.

• Expert level powerShell / automation scripting experience
• High level of experience with patch / configuration management solutions ( i.e. Ivanti, Tanium, SCCM, DSC)
