Job summary

ELLIOTT MOSS CONSULTING PTE. LTD. in Dublin seeks an experienced Cloud Architect to lead pre-sales engagements for AWS and Azure, designing scalable infrastructure and aligning services with delivery teams.

You will mentor cloud engineers, drive architecture discussions with senior executives, and develop modernization roadmaps while applying Well-Architected Framework and cost considerations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of success in Consultative/Complex Technical Sales, Architecture, Design, Implementation, and Deployment Projects.
• Experience leading deep technical architecture discussions with senior customer executives and IT management.
• Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

Job Description:

• This is a customer-facing role, working on pre-sales engagement and alignment of services to the delivery team.
• You will own the AWS/Azure Cloud Infrastructure technical customer engagements including architectural design sessions, specific implementation projects and/or pilots.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in customer-facing roles and success leading deep technical architecture discussions with senior customer executives, Enterprise Architects, and IT Management.

What will you do?

• Apply technical knowledge and customer insights to create a modernization roadmap.
• Architect solutions to meet business and IT needs, ensuring technical viability of new projects and successful deployments, while orchestrating key resources and infusing key Infrastructure technologies (Windows and Linux IaaS, Security, Networking, etc.).
• Ensure all solutions exhibit high levels of Performance, Security, Scalability, Maintainability, Reusability, and Reliability upon deployment.
• Assess the customers' knowledge of the AWS/Azure platform and overall cloud readiness during pre-sales engagements.
• Apply the AWS/Azure Cloud Adoption Framework, Design Patterns, and Well-Architected Framework to solution design during the pre-sales stage.
• Provide sizing for the solution architecture design and work with NCS partners where required.
• Act as the SME for Cloud Infrastructure support.
• Lead a team of cloud engineers to support customers.
• Develop and deploy appropriate AWS/Azure operational best practices.
• Estimate AWS/Azure costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms.
• Proactively keep up to date on AWS/Azure services and developments.
• Support Data/Service Migration projects.
• Manage Cloud infrastructure changes through the change request process and provide status reports to relevant parties.
• Respond promptly to incidents, investigate, and provide temporary and/or permanent resolutions for escalated incidents. Provide timely status updates to relevant parties.
• Monitor and measure the Performance & Availability of systems proactively; implement corrective actions to improve performance and availability.
• Monitor the agreed service level, document and maintain the configuration of the infrastructure, and provide regular reporting to relevant parties.
• Ensure service levels meet requirements. Propose and implement action plans when required.
• Support Service Continuity measures, including Backup/Restore Procedures and Disaster Recovery Plans, to ensure continuous business operations.
• Provide systems-related technical advice to customers or project teams for manageable issues.
• Adhere to Security Standards and best practices to avoid security breaches and reduce system vulnerabilities. Support security audits and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Support Hybrid and Multi-Cloud environments.
• Be an AWS/Azure Platform Evangelist with customers and internal communities, and mentor new members for training and certifications.

Required Qualifications::

• 5+ years of success in Consultative/Complex Technical Sales, Architecture, Design, Implementation, and Deployment Projects.
• Problem Solving – Ability to solve customer problems through Cloud Technologies.
• Collaboration & Communication – Proven ability to drive decisions collaboratively, resolve conflicts, and lead virtual teams with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills with the ability to engage both large and small audiences.
• Enterprise-scale technical experience with Cloud and Hybrid Infrastructure, Architecture Design, Cloud Migrations, and Technology Management.
• Subject Matter Expertise in one or more of the following:
