Information Technology Compliance Manager

Job summary

Sigmar Recruitment is helping a Galway-based technology company to recruit an IT Systems & Compliance Manager. The role combines IT operations, security, and governance across Mac/Windows, M365 and Google Workspace. You will lead ISO 27001 initiatives, craft scalable processes, and build documentation and runbooks as the organisation grows.

You will work with internal stakeholders and external MSPs to implement robust IT controls and ensure compliance across the technology stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, IT operations, or a similar role.
• Experience managing Mac and Windows device environments.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Autopilot and Microsoft 365.
• Experience administering Google Workspace, including groups, shared drives, access and security controls.
• Strong understanding of identity and access management, MFA, least-privilege access and joiner-mover-leaver processes.
• Experience with endpoint security platforms such as Bitdefender or similar.
• Strong understanding of IT security, governance, risk, and compliance.
• Experience supporting or delivering ISO 27001 certification and audit requirements.
• Experience managing SaaS applications, software licensing, vendors, renewals, and IT assets.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.
• Experience developing IT policies, procedures, documentation, runbooks, and knowledge bases.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Apple Business Manager and Mosyle.
• Experience with Windows Autopilot, BitLocker and LAPS.
• ITIL or similar service management experience.
• Experience automating IT support processes using scripting or AI tools.
• Experience working with growing technology companies or scale-ups.
• Familiarity with security awareness, phishing controls, vulnerability management, and supplier risk.
• Experience managing external MSPs or technology service providers.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day IT operations and build scalable systems, processes and controls.
• Oversee mixed Mac/Windows environment, endpoint management and security tooling.
• Manage Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, IAM, MFA and access governance.
• Support ISO 27001 certification, audits and compliance requirements.
• Develop runbooks, policies, documentation and knowledge bases for IT.

About Your New Job

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems & Compliance Manager to take ownership of day-to-day IT operations while building the systems, processes, documentation, and controls required to support a growing organisation.

This is a hands-on role based in Galway, combining IT infrastructure, endpoint management, identity and access management, security, compliance, and service delivery. You will manage a mixed Mac and Windows environment, oversee Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, support ISO 27001 certification, and work closely with internal teams and external technology partners.
