Role: Information Technology Architect – Regulatory Reporting Technology

Contract: Daily Rate Contract

Location: South Dublin (Hybrid — 3 days on-site / 2 days WFH)

We are currently recruiting an experienced IT Architect to join a global finance technology team based in South Dublin.

In this daily rate contract role, you’ll drive the architectural vision and technical design for a mission-critical EMEA regulatory reporting platform. We’re looking for a hands-on technical architect who can seamlessly bridge the gap between high-level business strategy and engineering execution—guiding design choices, reviewing code, and ensuring the platform is modular, scalable, and resilient.

What you’ll be doing:

• Driving Platform Architecture: Define and evolve solution designs, architecture roadmaps, and target-state models for enterprise regulatory reporting platforms.
• Hands-on Design & Technical Guidance: Support dev teams through system design, perform architectural/code reviews, and resolve complex non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, security).
• Bridging Business & Tech: Work directly with senior business partners and engineering leads to align long-term business goals with scalable technical execution.
• Modernizing the Stack: Guide technology selection, drive standardization, and champion best practices across cloud, big data, and legacy system integrations.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven IT/Technology Architecture Background: Track record of designing end-to-end enterprise systems within complex, highly regulated environments (Financial Services preferred).
• Core Tech Stack: Java, Spring, Oracle PL/SQL, and Angular
• Data & Emerging Tech: Good grasp of data lineage, metadata concepts, Big Data (Hadoop), and modern Cloud architectures.
• Vendor & Integration Experience: Practical experience interfacing core platforms with 3rd-party vendor software.
• Technical Leadership: Ability to mentor development teams, resolve technical impediments, and identify architectural risks and dependencies.
• Location: Ability to work on-site in South Dublin 3 days per week.
