Job summary

Stryker in Cork, Ireland is offering a cooperative placement within the 2027 Cooperative cohort. You will collaborate with a team lead and supervisor to define and drive an IT/Software improvement project, perform data analysis, and support reporting and documentation throughout the placement.

Ideal candidates are completing IT/CS/BI related degrees, are reliable and team oriented, and can commit to 6, 9 or 12 months. Flexible hours and a mentorship culture are offered.

Qualifications

  • Currently completing an Irish or Northern Irish university qualification in Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics or other related courses.
  • Honesty and integrity; must comply with the quality system, regulations, and company policies.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and hardworking - enjoys working in a dynamic, fast and results orientated environment.
  • Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
  • Organised, focused, and capable of multi-tasking.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills with basic level of PC skills.
  • Is a team player and capable of working as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • Available for either 6, 9 or 12 months – exact duration and start date to be discussed with your Talent Acquisition Business Partner at Stryker

Responsibilities

  • Identify an IT/Software improvement project with objectives, scope, milestones and evaluation.
  • Support and assist in-depth data analysis of various data sets and reports.
  • Assist with design, data extraction, research and reporting in performance, outcomes and policy compliance.
  • Provide support with project meetings to ensure data accuracy and documentation.
  • Create and analyze process workflows to increase efficiency across cross-functional teams.
  • Draft internal correspondences and perform general clerical duties as assigned.

Job description

This role will be based in one of our Cork sites.
Throughout the placement, you will be an integral part of Stryker’s 2027 Cooperative cohort.
Tasks and responsibilities may include:

  • Together, with your Stryker team leader and college supervisor, identify an IT/Software improvement project along with project objectives, scope, success factors, milestones and evaluation
  • Support and assist the in-depth data analysis of various data sets and reports
  • Perform duties in support of the design, data extraction, research and reporting in areas of performance, outcomes and compliance with policies and rules
  • Provide support with project meetings to ensure data accuracy and documentation
  • Create and analyze process workflows to increase efficiency with cross-functional divisions and departments including the analysis of data trends and report and file creation
  • Draft internal correspondences and perform general and clerical duties as assigned
What you will need
