Stryker Corporation in Cork invites undergraduates pursuing an Irish or Northern Irish engineering or manufacturing qualification to join our Lean & Continuous Improvement (CI) team. The placement focuses on applying Lean principles to drive operational excellence, with exposure to Kaizen events, DMS, standard work, and data-driven problem solving.
Duration options include 6, 9 or 12 months. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, gain hands-on experience, and be mentored by leaders

This role will be based in one of our Cork sites. The Lean & Continuous Improvement (CI) team at Stryker is focused on driving operational excellence by improving processes, eliminating waste, and enhancing overall performance across the organization. We apply Lean principles and structured problem-solving methodologies to ensure our processes are efficient, scalable, and consistently deliver high-quality outcomes for our customers and patients. Our work involves partnering with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, streamline workflows, and reduce variability. We lead and support initiatives such as process mapping, root cause analysis, Kaizen events, and standard work development. By leveraging data and performance metrics, we prioritize impactful projects and measure the success of improvements. Throughout the placement, you will be an integral part of Stryker’s 2027 Cooperative cohort.

Work Flexibility Remote – Role allows you to work the majority to 100% of time from an alternate workplace. These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location.
Field-based – You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based.
Onsite – Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category.
Hybrid – You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
