IT Search is seeking a Network Security Engineer for a global Financial Services client in Dublin 2. The role focuses on configuring and upgrading secure network infrastructure, firewalls, load balancers, DNS, and ongoing router/switch upgrades.

You will participate in threat analysis, vulnerability management, and cross‑platform work across Windows and Linux. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of hands-on experience in a regulated industry, with Cisco certifications advantageous and a proven

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a regulated financial services environment.
• Experience configuring and upgrading network infrastructure and firewalls.
• Proven ability to assess vulnerabilities and address risks.
• Cross-platform experience across Windows and Linux.
• Automation scripting with Python, Bash or PowerShell.

Responsabilités

• Configure and upgrade network infrastructure and firewalls; address load balancing and DNS issues.
• Manage router/switch upgrades and configuration tasks.
• Participate in Threat Analysis and Prioritisation, ticketing and vulnerability tracking.
• Work across Windows and Linux platforms to identify/address vulnerabilities.
• Produce and maintain related security documentation; participate in on-call rotation.
